ATLANTA – The Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Swimming and Diving weekly honors were handed out to UNC Asheville's Abby Parks (Swimmer) and Morgan Coughlen (Diver), which were revealed Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Women's Swimmer of the Week
Abby Parks, UNC Asheville
Senior | Matthews, N.C.
- Second Career ASUN Women's Swimmer of the Week honor; 13th selection in Bulldog program history
- Helped her squad claim a 192-108 win over Georgia Southern in the pool last week
- Took home a pair of individual victories; was also part of two winning relay teams
- Came in first place in both the 50-Yard Freestyle (24.25) and 100-Yard Freestyle (51.64)
- Played key roles in winning the 200-Yard Medley Relay and 200-Yard Freestyle Relay
Women's Diver of the Week
Morgan Coughlen, UNC Asheville
Junior | Frisco, Texas
- Third Career ASUN Women's Diver of the Week award; sixth nod in UNC Asheville history
- Shined in the diving events against Georgia Southern last week (W, 192-108)
- Posted two second-place finishes in a pair of 1-Meter dives against the Eagles
- Scored a personal-best 236.78 in her opening event of the meet
- Followed up with a new school record; also improved her personal best to 246.15
