JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Delaware swept this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Swimming and Diving Awards, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Matevi Namakonov was named Swimmer of the Week. He claimed four first place finishes including the 50-free, 100-free, 400-free relay and 200-medley relay. Kevin Siegfried was named Men's Diver of the Week after he won the 1-Meter dive and placed second in the 3-Meter. In the 1M, the senior scored 289.0 which was 31.20 points ahead of the second place finisher. In the 3M, he scored a 284.18 to take home second place. Both performances marked season highs for Siegfried.
Victoria Novinskiy earned Swimmer of the Week after claiming firsy place in four events. She started with the 200-medley relay where she helped set a pool record at 1:41.11. She also claimed individual victories in the 200-fly, 100-flly and 200IM. Pastris earned Diver of the Week after claiming first place in the 1-Meter and second place in the 3-Meter. Pastris scored a 282.45 in the 1M, finishing 23.70 points ahead of the runner-up. In the 3M, she scored 260.85, less than one point out of first place.
