JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Queen's Royals swept this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Swimming & Diving honors, while Queens and Delaware split on the Women's side, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Daniel Meszaros earned Swimmer of the Week after claiming claiming a victory in the 100-Free. His time of 43.76 set a new pool record at David B. Allen Natatorium. The senior also helped anchor the Royals' 200-Free Relay with a 19.86 split, which earned a first-place finish. Juan Gonzalez took home a first-place finish in the 3-Meter Dive with a score of 349.73 to earn Diver of the Week. His socre of 300.60 in the 1M was good for a third-place finish against UNC Wilmington.
Sarah Leonie Tenzer earned Swimmer of the Week after taking home three individual wins this weekend. She recorded a 1:48.98 in the 200-Yard Freestyle, which set a personal best and earned the freshman a first-place finish. Tenzer also recorded wins in the 500-Free and the 1000-Free. Fightin' Blue Hen, Alex Pastris was named Diver of the Week. The senior earned third-place in the 1-Meter Dive at UPenn. Her score marked the seventh-best all-time in Delaware program history.
