Women's Swimming and Diving Awards Swept by Liberty



ATLANTA – The Liberty Flames scooped up both Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Swimming and Diving weekly honors, which were announced Tuesday by the league office.

Women's Swimmer of the Week
Kamryn Cannings, Liberty
Freshman | Calgary, Alberta, Canada

- First Career ASUN Women's Swimmer of the Week accolade; 31st award in program history for the Flames
- Posted two top-15 national times at the Seminole Fall Invite at Florida State in her first collegiate meet
- Won the 200-Yard Fly in a time of 2:01.43, which was good for 13th in the nation
- Finished second in the 100-Yard Fly in 54.76 (14th nationally)
- Swam the third leg of the 200-Medley Relay in 24.20, the fastest third leg of anyone at the event

Women's Diver of the Week
Mary Herndon, Liberty
Sophomore | Lugoff, S.C.

- Second Career ASUN Women's Diver of the Week honor; 21st nod in program history for the Flames
- Helped Liberty get off to a strong start to the 2023-24 campaign
- Secured a pair of fourth-place finishes at the Seminole Fall Classic
- Scored 207.80 points to claim fourth in the 1-Meter springboard
- Claimed another fourth-place finish on the 3-Meter with a score of 222.45
