JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – EKU’s Emily Mariscal and FGCU’s Grace Taylor have been named as the ASUN Conference’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, announced Monday by the league office. 

Mariscal helped EKU to two wins over Bellarmine going 5-for-6 from the plate with an .833 batting average and 1.333 slugging percentage. The junior from Anaheim, Calif. Clocked and on-base percentage of  0.857 en route to driving in three and scoring a run herself. She also added in a double and a triple to go with not striking out.

Taylor earned three wins in four appearances last week to go with her 0.95 earned run average. The senior threw 14.2 innings and allowed just two earned runs over the four game stretch. Adding in seven strikeouts, Taylor kept opponents to a .189 batting average for the week.
