JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Stetson’s Nicole Edmiaston and North Alabama’s Katie Simon have been named as the ASUN Conference’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, announced Monday by the league office. 

Edmiaston had a dominant performance last week where she posted a .647 batting average, a .727 on-base percentage and a 1.176 slugging percentage over six games. Over the week, she recorded 11 hits in 17 at-bats with three homeruns. Edmiaston also drew five walks and drove in 10 runs
 
Simon posted a perfect 2-0 record last week where she recorded a 1.05 earned run average over 13.1 innings of work. She threw a complete-game shutout over Loyola Chicago where she struck out eight before pitching 3.2 innings of relief against UT Martin to take the 8-4 win. For the week, Simon recorded 12 strikeouts compared to just three walks
