JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Alabama’s Holly Merritt and Jacksonville’s Jacy Harrelson have been named as the ASUN Conference’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, announced Monday by the league office. 

Merritt led the Lions to a 3-1 week where she recorded a batting average of .818 with nine hits and six runs scored. The Chattanooga native drove in five runs while knocking out two home runs - both coming in the team’s 7-5 victory over Austin Peay - all with a 1.455 slugging percentage and an 0.833 on base percentage.

Harrelson had another major week in the circle for the Dolphins where she collected three wins while punching a 0.93 ERA. In her 15.0 innings of work, Harrelson allowed just two runs while striking out six and keeping batters to just a .214 average.
