JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Liberty’s Katie Colavito, Delaware’s Lena Stolarick and Jacksonville’s Jaxie Cestone earned this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women’s Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, announced Monday by the league office.
Colavito led the Lady Flames last week where she netted nine goals on 13 shots. Of her nine goals, four came against No. 19 Notre Dame where she accounted for more than half of Liberty’s scoring. She turned around with a five-goal performance against Kennesaw State. For the week, Colavito finished with a .769 shots on-goal percentage while netting the game-winning goal over KSU.
Stolarick led Delaware on the defensive end with four ground balls while causing five turnovers in the team’s two wins. She recorded four of her caused turnovers against Kennesaw State, a career-high, while tying her career-high with four ground balls.
Cestone helped Jacksonville’s defense in taking No. 15 Colorado to overtime; during the game she picked up two ground balls and had one draw control. In the team’s 21-5 win over Austin Peay, Cestone picked up two more ground balls while recording three draw controls.
