JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville’s Jessica Giller and Delaware’s Ella Rishko earned this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women’s Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, announced Monday by the league office.
Giller led the Dolphins on the offensive front with eight goals and two assists for 10 points. The senior midfielder scored four goals, on four shots, against Delaware while scoring another four goals, this time on five shots, against Liberty. Giller finished the weekend a perfect 9-for-9 on shots on-goal while converting four free position goals.
Rishko played a major role in the Blue Hens two wins over the weekend; she recorded 18 draw controls over two games en route to Delaware’s wins over Jacksonville and Stetson. The senior added in eight turnovers caused and picked up three ground balls across the two games.
