Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards - March 23

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Liberty’s Sophia Nesci and Jacksonville’s Abby Moran earned this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women’s Lacrosse Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, announced Monday by the league office.

Nesci was an offensive threat for Liberty this week, tallying 10 goals on 11 shots on-goal and four assists for 14 points. The freshman attacker went 4-for-5 on free position shots while tallying the game-winning goal in the team’s win over Lindenwood.

Moran had herself a week on the field as she tallied 25 draw controls over two games for the Dolphins. She opened the week with nine against Coastal Carolina while recording 16 in the team’s 13-8 win over Queens.
