JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Austin Peay's Collin Parker swept this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men’s Basketball honors for the second week in a row, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Parker, who was named the Lou Henson National Player of the Week, averaged 30.5 points per game while pouring in a career-tying 39 points in the Governor’s win over Queens (NC). Parker followed up his nearly 40-point performance with 22 points in a 90-70 victory over Bellarmine. The graduate student out of Montgomery City, Mo. shot 51.3 percent from the field, went 5-8 from beyond the arc and drained 18-of-22 free throws while adding 16 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal.
It is Parker's second Player of the Week recognition, and fourth Newcomer of the Week honor.
