JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Austin Peay's Tate McCubbin and West Georgia's Josh Smith earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
McCubbin averaged 18.0 points per game in a pair of wins to start the season for the Govs. The Columbia, Mo., native totaled 10 rebounds, 10 assists and five steals in victories against Bryan and Air Force. Smith scored a career-high 26 points while totaling five rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in the Wolves' home opener. The junior shot 67% from the field and finished the game without committing a turnover.
