JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Austin Peay's Zyree Collins swept this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men’s Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Collins helped lead the Govs to a 76-75 win against ETSU on Friday, earning Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week honors. He finished the night with 25 points, nine assists, six rebounds and three steals, while shooting 7-of-12 from the floor. The freshman stepped up in the clutch as well, knocking down a pair of free throws late to take the lead and locking up ETSU on the defensive end on the final shot. His 25 points are the most by any ASUN freshman so far this season.
