JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – West Georgia's Shelton Williams-Dryden and Austin Peay's Collin Parker claimed this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men’s Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Williams-Dryden earned Player of the Week after posting back-to-back double-doubles in a pair of wins for the Wolves. He scored 28 points and added 13 rebounds in the win against Bellarmine, and followed that up with a career-high 32 points and 13 boards against EKU. Williams-Dryden also shot 58 percent from the floor, going 23-of-40 over the weekend.
Parker took Newcomer of the Week honors. He averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in a pair of wins for the Governors. Parker's best performance came in the win against North Florida, where he finished with 26 points on 11-of-19 shooting, to go along with eight rebounds and six assists.
