JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Stetson's Cameron Thomas, Austin Peay's Lameria Thomas and North Florida's Dezuray McGill claimed this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Cameron Thomas earned Player of the Week honors after averaging 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for the Hatters. She scored a game-high 32 points in a win against Stonehill, connecting on 7-of-12 from beyond the arc. Thomas also scored 10 points, to go with five boards and three assists, against William & Mary.
Lameria Thomas won Newcomer of the Week after helping Austin Peay defeat UIC, 59-48. She recorded a double-double in the win, with 11 points and 14 rebounds, shooting 5-of-6 from the field on the game.
McGill claimed Freshman of the Week honors. She averaged 19 points per game on the week, including a 30-point performance on 15-of-21 shooting in North Florida's win against Coastal Georgia.
