JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – West Georgia's Jasmine Jones and Jacksonville's Tatum Brown earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Basketball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Jones earned Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week after averaging 25.5 points per game in the Wolves' matchups agaisnt Oregon and Gardner-Webb. Against Oregon, the forward recorded 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting. She recorded eight three pointers against Gardner-Webb which tied a single-game school record. Brown was named Freshman of the Week after her performance against Charleston Southern and Florida Tech. The guard totaled 36 points, 7 assists and 12 steals. Her 12 steals makes her tied for fourth nationally. She scored the game-winning layup against Charleston Southern to secure the win for the Dolphins.
