JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - After winning its second Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s basketball tournament championship, Jacksonville earned the No.15 seed in Regional 2 in the 2026 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship, announced on the NCAA selection show on Sunday. The Dolphins will take on the No. 2 seed LSU on Friday, March 20 in Baton Rouge, La. Tipoff is slated for 6 p.m. ET. on ESPN.
Jacksonville (24-8) captured its second-ever ASUN Championship after defeating Austin Peay in overtime in the title game. JU finished the season winning 13 of its final 14 games and tying the program-record of 24 wins in a season. The Dolphins are making their second NCAA National Tournament trip and first since the 2015-16 season.
