JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – UNC Asheville's Anna Marcotti and Georgia Southern's Karlee Wells earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Swimming & Diving honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Marcotti was named Swimmer of the Week after she claimed three individual wins on the weekend. The senior claimed first in the 200-Freestyle with a 1:55.03. She followed with a win in the 50-Free (24.30) and rounded out her individual wins with first place in the 100-Free (52.91). She helped lead the winning 200-Free Relay team with a split of 24.29. Wells was named Diver of the Week. She earned first place in the 1-Meter event. She opened with a score of 293.78, which marked her second-highest score this season. In the second round, she recorded a 293.18 to secure a 42-point gap from the runner-up.
