JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lipscomb’s Casey Yu and FGCU’s Sacha Ruiz earned this week’s Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Golfer of the Week honors, announced Thursday by the league office.
Yu led the Bison at the 22nd Annual “Mo” Morial with a share of 12th place after shooting nine over par. After shooting 76 and 77 through the first 36 holes, Yu came back for an even par, 72, in the final 18 holes.
Ruiz claimed a share of the top individual spot at the Giles-Spratley Collegiate for his first collegiate championship. Ruiz finished nine under par carding scores of 69, 66 and 72, respectively, while totaling 16 birdies over the week - eight of which coming in the second round.
