JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Austin Peay's Patton Samuels claimed this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Golf honor, announced Thursday by the league office.
Samuels led the Governors in their first tournament of the spring, the Palmas Del Mar Collegiate in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He finished tied for seventh overall, shooting a six-under 210. Samuels opened with a one-over 73, and improved throughout the tournament. He shot a two-under 70 in the second round, and a five-under 67 in the third to move up the leaderboard and earn his second top-10 finish of the season.
