VALDOSTA, Ga. - Following the conclusion of round one of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men’s Golf Championship, FGCU and North Florida sit tied for first place while three individuals fight for the top spot.
FGCU, who shot six under par as a team today, was led by Sebastian Gamboa, who carded a 67 in the round and is currently tied for first place, and Sacha Ruiz, who finished two under par for the round. North Florida, who also shot six under par today, was led by Danny Erickson and Filippo Serra who carded 69 and 70, respectively.
North Alabama and Lipscomb head into tomorrow’s second round in third and fourth place while Stetson and EKU currently share fifth place.
North Alabama’s Andrew Ferworn and Austin Peay’s Patton Samuels are the other two individuals duking it out for the top spot. All three, along with Gamboa, shot five under par for the round.
Tee times will begin tomorrow starting at 8 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. CT and will stagger every five minutes on the first and 10th holes. Tee times, groups and live results can be found on Scoreboard.
