JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida's Luc Granitur along with Stetson and Jacksonville duos swept this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Soccer honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Granitur earned the Player of the Week honor after he notched a game-winning goal against FGCU, helping the Ospreys remain unbeaten in conference play. The game winner in the 83rd minute helped North Florida earn its seventh-straight win, which is the program’s longest unbeaten and win streak of the Division I era. Logan Hall and Ross Appolon were named Defensive Player of the Week. Hall helped stop mutliple attacks from the Hatters, leading the Dolphins to a 0-0- draw with the Hatters. Appolon helped limit the Dolphins to three shots on goal. Christian Sekanina and Nicolo Radelli earned the Goalkeeper of the Week honor. Sekanina played the full 90 minuets against the Hatters and recorded a clean sheet with three saves. Radaelli recorded his second shutout of the season after notching three saves. His performance marks his ninth career shutout, moving the Milan, Italy native into 4th all-time in program history.
