JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Austin Peay’s Taylin Segree and Central Arkansas’ Nathan Uptagrafft were named the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Outdoor Track &Field Scholar-Athletes of the Year. Segree and Uptagrafft highlighted an Academic All-ASUN Team of 71, announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Segree boasts a perfect 4.0 grade point average while majoring in marketing. The sophomore was part of the Govs 4x400m relay team that placed first at the ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships while also taking a fourth place finish in the 400m dash. During the season, Segree recorded four top three finishes and five top five finishes at events.

Uptagrafft, a sophomore in the classroom, finished the season with a 3.88 GPA as a biology major. Uptagrafft was named the ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championships Most Valuable Performer after totaling 26 points at the championship while earning gold in the decathlon, silver in the pole vault and fifth place in discus and javelin.

The Academic All-ASUN recognizes student-athletes who excel both in competition and in the classroom. All student-athletes named to the list boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's events.
