Central Arkansas Takes Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field Titles

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of Central Arkansas claimed both the men’s & women’s titles at the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

In a track heavy final day of the championship, North Florida took the men’s 4x100m relay, in the men’s 110 hurdles after Rey Hernandez clocked a 13.93 run and took first and second place in the 400m hurdles with Tayeshawn Ecklund-Rochelle and Troy Williams finding their way onto the podium. EKU went 1-2-3 in the 1,500 run with Kristian Imroth, Taha Er Raouy and Mario Priego taking the medals while Bradley Giblin took the top spot on the podium in the 800m run.

The Bears’ Keaton Hansard took first place in the 400m dash with a time of 46.22 while West Georgia’s Michael Willis claimed the top spot in the 100m dash. 

In the final running event of the day, the Ospreys won the men’s 4x400 relay with a time of 3:12.52.

On the women’s side, Central Arkansas set a new record in the 4x100 relay after clocking a 44.29 time while Zoe Williams took first place in the 100m hurdles. Edna Chelulei from EKU clocked the top time in the 1,500m run while Metrine Jelimo and Brighter Jepchumba claimed the top spots in the 800m and 5,000m runs, respectively.

UCA took all three medals in the women’s 100m dash with Brenae Allen, Raghan Allen and Troynelle Miller going 1-2-3, respectively. Jacksonville’s Savannah Chadic set a new record in the 400m dash after running a 52.06 time.

Rounding out the final event of the night, Austin Peay women’s 4x400m relay team took gold after clocking a 3:37.60 time.
