Kennesaw State Wins 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf Championship

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Kennesaw State Owls hoisted the Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf Championship trophy for the sixth time in program history, overcoming a five-shot deficit to start the final round. Lauren Thompson of Lipscomb earned medalist honors after her 2-under par 70 in the final round.

Thompson became the first student-athlete to win back-to-back individual recognition since Campbell's Alejandra Shaw in 2006-07. On her way to the honor, she posted the lowest individual score ever at the ASUN Championship on Monday with her 64 and lowest 18 vs. par at 8-under. The Dothan, Ala., native finished this year's championship tying both the lowest 54-hole score (205) and lowest 54-hole score vs par (-11) in ASUN history. The Owls have the second-most titles by a conference program after winning a sixth in their final ASUN Championship apperance. KSU finished even par with a 864 after the three-day event. The Bisons finished in second place, two shots back at 2-over (866), while North Florida (875), Austin Peay (878) and Stetson (880) rounded out the top five squads in the final standings.
