JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – FGCU's Lousiane Gauthier and Casey Powell of Jacksonville earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Golf honor, announced Thursday by the league office.
Gauthier earned Golfer of the Week honors after picking up medalist honors at the Pat Bradley Invitational. The native of Uruguay set a school record with a 64 in the second round with nine birdies. She carded rounds of 73-64-70 to finish with a 6-under 207.
Powell earned the award after a third-place finish with a 4-under 209 at the Pat Bradley Invitational. The senior from Lexington, Ky., posted rounds of 73-69-67 to capture a top-five finish. She totaled 11 birdies over the three rounds and posted a bogie-free final round which included four of her 11 birdies.
