ATLANTA – With the 2023 ASUN Conference Baseball season quickly approaching, it's time to take a glance at all 14 league squads before the 45th year gets underway this spring. Today, we take a deeper look at Jacksonville State, who is ready for another run to the league postseason following its bid a year ago as the eight seed in the championship. The Gamecocks earned 116 votes en route to a seventh-place projection in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
Women's Tennis
ATLANTA – Jacksonville State's Polina Ramenskaja earned her first ASUN Conference Women's Tennis weekly award of her career, the league office announced Wednesday. Ramenskaja accounted for two points in JSU's near upset of Mississippi State. The Freshman stayed undefeated in Singles action with a win against No. 61 Maria Rizzolo (4-6, 7-6 [7-4], 6-2) after winning in Doubles alongside Irene Artigas, 6-4. The Narva, Estonia, native helped JSU tally its first points against a Power Five opponent.

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (jsugamecocksports.com) - History was achieved on Wednesday afternoon as fifth-year outside hitter Lena Kindermann secured the first ever College Sports Communications Academic All-American honor for the Jacksonville State volleyball program.
Men's Basketball
ATLANTA - Liberty's Darius McGhee and Jacksonville State's Skyelar Potter earned the ASUN Conference Men's Basketball weekly honors, announced by the league office on Monday. McGhee was named Player of the Week for the seventh time in his career while Potter earned his first Newcomer of the Week honor and the second of the season for the Gamecocks.

ATLANTA - Liberty's Darius McGhee and Jacksonville State's Peyton Daniels earned the ASUN Conference Men's Basketball weekly honors, announced by the league office on Monday. McGhee reached the milestone of 2,000 career points over the weekend and earned his sixth Player of the Week honor. Daniels was named Newcomer of the Week for the first time after recording the first three double-digit scoring performances of his career.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (jsugamecocksports.com) - Jacksonville State led for more than 35 minutes on its way to defeating North Dakota State, 81-71, inside The Pit at the campus of the University of New Mexico on the final day of the Lobo Classic.
Women's Volleyball
ATLANTA - The ASUN Conference weekly honors went to FGCU's Lily Felts, North Alabama's Maggie Sullivan, Jacksonville State's Claire Ochs and North Florida's Savannah Cook, announced Monday by the league office. Felts (Player) and Sullivan (Defensive) claimed the first awards of their careers while the distinctions earned by Ochs (Setter) and Cook (Freshman) were the second for each.
