FORT MYERS, Fla. – In a marathon championship battle lasting over four and a half hours, the third-seeded Stetson Hatters claimed the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Tennis Championship with a 4-3 upset victory over the top-seeded North Florida Ospreys at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

#3 Stetson 4, #1 North Florida 3
Despite dropping the Doubles point early, the Hatters rallied in Singles play to secure the title and avenge a regular-season loss to the Ospreys. Stetson’s comeback was fueled by the middle of the lineup. Santia Padilla Cote delivered a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 4 Singles to get Stetson on the board. He was followed by Xavier Sarda Marti, who gutted out a three-set win (6-3, 2-6, 6-2) at the No. 3 spot. With the match hanging in the balance, Marc Saura and Christia Kuehne both overcame first-set deficits to win their respective matches in three sets. Kuehne’s 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 victory at the No. 2 position proved vital in securing the four points necessary for the championship.

The NCAA will reveal the Hatters' opponent on the 2026 selection show scheduled for 5 PM ET on Monday, April 26.
