JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville's Claire Mrukowski, Stetson's Nyah Molina, North Alabama's Kinslee McGowan and FGCU's Erica Muhizi earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Volleyball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Mrukowski averaged 2.77 kills per set over the weekend to help Jacksonville to a 2-1 record at the Dolphin Volleyball Classic. She tallied 14 kills in a five-set win against Jacksonville State then set a season high with 16 against Florida A&M. Molina opened the weekend with a historic 40-30 double-double against Bethune-Cookman that included 31 digs. She became the first Hatter to record this feat in the Rally Scoring Era and added six blocks across her three matches played. McGowan finished the week with 100 assists for the Lions for an average of 9.09 assists per set. She reached 20-plus assists in each match which included 42 against Liberty. Muhizi notched 15 total blocks over the weekend for the Eagles to go along with 12 kills. The freshman from Sweden hit .500 in an FGCU split weekend with a .714 hitting percentage in a win against FIU.
