JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville's Breanna McDonough, Stetson's Kayla Balfour, Lipscomb's Sohpia Hudepohl and Queens' Lauren Stiles earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Volleyball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
McDonough led the Dolphins to a 3-0 weekend in Daytona with 3.20 kills per set and a team-best .450 hitting percentage. The senior hit over .500 in each of the last two matches which included a .556 against Bethune-Cookman en route to earning the tournament's MVP honor. Balfour tallied 20 blocks over 12 sets played for the Hatters last weekend. Her strongest performance came against Quinnipiac where she tallied a career-best 13 total blocks. Hudepohl led the conference with 9.90 assists per set in a 2-1 week for the Bisons. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native recorded her second 50-assist match of the year with 52 against Cal State Northridge. Stiles totaled 17 kills on 33 attempts with four errors for a .394 hitting percentage. She helped the Royals improve to 7-3 on the season withvictories against The Citadel and UNC Asheville.
