JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – EKU's Emilee Hill, FGCU's Erica Muhizi and the North Alabama duo of Kinslee McGowan and Jenna Kolosta earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Volleyball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Hill recorded two triple-doubles in three matches on the weekend for the Colonels. She helped EKU go 2-1 with an average of 3.27 kills, 3.73 digs and 5.27 assists per set. Muhizi totaled 11 blocks for the Eagles in matchups with Arizona State and LMU. She had four block assists to go with five kills against the Sun Devils then registered seven block assists in a win against the Lions. McGowan tallied 128 assists in four matches for an average of 10.47 assists per set. She surpassed 500 assists in her career against Alabama A&M while recording a season-high 49 assists. Kolosta recorded a .321 hitting percentage on the week along with nine digs and two assists. The freshman middle blocker also notched 13 total blocks for UNA.
