JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The FGCU duo of Edson Murguia and Oliver Weng along with Queens' Otto Gustafsson earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Soccer honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Murguia was named Player of the Week after he notched two goals on the weekend, one in each of the Eagles' matchups. The Kansas City, Mo., native now has three goals on the season, making him tied for second in the ASUN. Weng faced 24 shots in FGCU's clean sheets against Florida Memorial and Houston Christian, notching five saves in each game to match his season high. Gustafsson helped the Royals record their third straight clean sheet for the first time since 2021. He recorded the game-winning goal against Radford, helping Queens extend its winning streak to three games.
