JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida’s Smilla Kolbe was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America First Team for Women's Track & Field/Cross Country, announced Tuesday by the organization.
Kolbe was selected to the Academic All-ASUN team earlier this year and holds a 4.0 GPA while pursuing a degree in Psychology. On the track, she notched an automatic qualifying spot into the quarterfinals of the Women's 800-Meter at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East Region First Round. In the event, the Hanover, Germany, native punched her ticket to the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track and Feild Championships with a time of 2:00.09 in the 800m. Kolbe became the Ospreys' first-ever Outdoor First Team All-American with a sixth-place finish in the in the national race.
The 2025 Academic All-America® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
