Stetson Remains Undefeated after Day Two of the ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Day two of The 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Beach Volleyball saw the top-seeded No. 14 Stetson, #2/No.17 North Florida and #3/No. 18 FGCU notch victories to advance to Saturday's final duals.

The Hatters are set to compete in their 11th-consecutive ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship Final after earning victories against North Alabama and North Florida during Fridays matchups. Stetson opened day two action by recording a 3-1 win against North Alabama. The North Florida Ospreys swept the third-seeded FGCU Eagles in the second dual of the day. The two nationally-ranked teams faced off later in the day, in which Stetson came out on top. North Alabama looked to keep its postseason alive in a match against EKU, coming out on top after sweeping the Colonels. The Lions advanced to face the Eagles, who earlier swept Jacksonville, 3-0. The Eagles were victorious, defeating the Lions 3-1.

- The Hatters continued their postseason winning streak on day two, picking up the victory against North Alabama. 
- Stetson's top pair, Marta Carro and Julia Radelczuk, clinched the match by defeating UNA's top pair, 21-18, 21-19. 

• #2/No. 17 North Florida 3, #3/No.18 FGCU 0
- In the second matchup of the day, North Florida defeated FGCU in straight-set fashion. 
- Madison Espy and Mariana Feliciano clinched the match for the UNF, defeating their Eagles opponents, 22-20, 21-16. 

• #4 North Alabama 3, #6 EKU 0
- North Alabama swept EKU to survive elimination and keep their title hopes alive. 
- The match was decided on Court 3 as the duo of Aurora Bibolotti and Pien Grooters defeated their EKU opponents, 21-19, 22-20. 

• #3/No. 18 FGCU, 3 #5 Jacksonville, 0
- FGCU swept Jacksonville to continue chasing the ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship. 
- Andrea Dietz and Mia Thompson secured the match for the Eagles on Court 4, defeating their Jacksonville opponents, 21-12, 21-19

• #1/No. 14 Stetson, 3 #2/No. 17 North Florida, 2 
- The Hatters and the Ospreys competed for a spot in the Championship Final with Stetson securing a 3-2 win
- Marta Carro and Julia Radelczuk clinched the victory for the Hatters on Court 1 in thrilling three-set action, 21-16, 21-16, 15-13.

- The final match of the day saw the FGCU Eagles earn a victory to advance to Saturday's action.
- The match was clinched on Court 1 by Nicole De Oliveira and Kaitlyn Luebbers, who defeated their UNA opponents, 19-21, 21-13, 15-13.
