HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Beach Volleyball Championship began Thursday at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala. Stetson, Jacksonville, FGCU and North Florida recorded wins. Austin Peay, North Alabama, EKU and Central Arkansas look to keep their postseason play alive.

The nationally-ranked (14th) Stetson Hatters swept No. 8 Austin Peay to open the 2026 ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship. The Hatters claimed Court 3 first when Julia Czurylo and Zoe Flueckiger defeated the Govs Alyson Cooper and Sage Raby. Pair of the Year, Marta Carro and Maria Ozaeta defeated Grace Austin and Isabella Russell on the top flight to give the Hatters a 2-0 lead. Courts 4 and 2 finished next before Stetson sealed the deal with a 21-8, 21-6 Court 5 victory by Madeline Camp and Cayla Sutton. Stetson will take on No. 5 Jacksonville on Thursday.

Jacksonville secured its first-ever win against North Alabama with a 3-2 victory in the opening round of the ASUN Championship. UNA claimed Courts 3 and 2 before Morgan Perry and Kate Taylor put the Dolphins on the board with a 21-18, 21-17 win on Court 4. Maddie Fiedler and Scholar-Athlete of the Year Katie Martinez battled through three sets against the Lions' Lucy Weddng and Mabrey Whitehead to tie the match. The Dolphins clinched the victory on the top flight, where Megan Hair and Claire Mrukowski won a three-set match (18–21, 22–20, 15–11). The Dolphins will take on the top-seeded Hatters on Thursday.

FGCU defeated the No. 6 EKU Colonels in Wednesday's opening round. The Eagles claimed Court 5 with a 21-19, 21-9 victory. Nicole De Oliveira and Erin Miller earned the point on Court 2 before Alexis Keeter and Ava Lilliquist notched a 21-16, 21-12 win on the top flight. The match was sealed by the Eagles on Court 3 when Andrea Dietz and Sydney Majick defeated Austin Peay's Amanda Floystad and Carlyn McAllister. FGCU will advance to Thursday to take on the No. 2 seeded North Florida Ospreys.
#2/No. 18 North Florida 5, #7 Central Arkansas 0
The defending champions and No. 18 ranked, North Florida Ospreys defeated the seventh-seeded Central Arkansas Bears on Wednesday. UNF's Samantha Crosby and Persley Murray earned a victory on Court 3 after defeating Ella Layzell and Brooke Sharp, 21-5, 21-10. The Ospreys then claimed Courts 5 and 4 before Andrea Da Silva Encinas and Madison Espy earned a 21-16, 21-12 win on Court 2. The dual was sealed on the top flight after Cameron Humphries and Mckenize Murphy defeated Natalie Blum and Anna Linskey 21-12, 21-17. The Ospreys will take on FGCU on Thursday.
