HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Beach Volleyball Championship began Thursday at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Ala. FGCU, North Alabama, North Florida, and Stetson recorded wins in their only duals of the day. After early setbacks, Jacksonville and EKU notched victories to keep their postseason play alive.
The top-seeded Hatters swept #8 Austin Peay to open the championship. The UNA Lions, slotted fourth in the tournament, defeated #5 Jacksonville, 4-1. The second-seeded Ospreys got the third victory of the day when they swept UCA, 5-0. FGCU defeated EKU 4-1 to round out the first four matches of the day.

- The Hatters got the day started with a sweep of Austin Peay while not dropping a set to the Governors.
- Stetson's duo of Marta Carro and Julia Radelczuk clinched the match for the Hatters on Court 1 as they defeated their APSU opponenets 21-12, 23-21.
• #4 North Alabama 4, #5 Jacksonville 1
- In the second matchup of the day, UNA defeated Jacksonville 4-1 as the Lions advanced to face the Hatters on day two of the championship.
- Ryenne Gepford and Paige Griner clinched the match for the Lions on Court 2 in three sets 21-18, 23-21 and 17-15
• #2/No. 17 North Florida 5, #7 Central Arkansas 0
- The No.17 nationally-ranked Ospreys did not drop a set in their tournament-opening match against Central Arkansas
- UNF's Pair of Madison Espy and Mariana Feliciano secured the match for the Ospreys on Court 3 after defeating their UCA opponents 21-15, 21-7.

- The Eagles notched a victory, defeating the Colonels 4-1, and are now set to face the UNF on day two of the 2025 ASUN Beach Volleyball Championship.
- ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year Jaci Carpenter and Emma Soncrant clinched the match for the Eagles on Court 3 with a 21-12, 21-14 victory.

- The Dolphins kept their postseason alive by sweeping the Governors, 3-0, and are set to face the loser of Friday's UNA/Stetson contest.
- Hayden Garnett and Kristina Nika clinched the vicorty for Jacksonville on Court 2 with a 21-17, 21-11 victory.
