JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – FGCU's Erika Zschuppe and Madara Matrevica along with Queens' Sejla Podzic earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Soccer honors, announced Monday by the league office.
Zchuppe helped fuel the Eagles to a pair of conference victories on the week with six goals. She posted a brace in a 5-0 win against Jacksonville followed by a first-half hat-trick against North Florida in a 6-0 FGCU victory. Matrevica collected a pair of shutouts with FGCU's wins against the Dolphins and Ospreys. Seven of her eight saves on the week came from the match with Jacksonville which included a PK save. Podzic anchored a back line that lmited UWG to just two shots across 90 minutes of action. She also recorded her second goal of the season in the 3-0 win by the Royals.
