ATLANTA - North Florida's Iris Fletcher was named the 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Beach Volleyball Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Fletcher highlighted the ten-member Academic All-ASUN Team, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Fletcher holds a 3.90 GPA as she majors in Special Education. The Ontario, Canada, native holds a 12-1 record this season paired up with teammate Katie Camp. Fletcher is currently on a 12-match winning streak and earned ranked wins against #4 Florida State, #10 Loyola Marymount and #18 FAU in 2024. Overall, the junior is 18-8 in the sand entering this year's ASUN Championship.
The All-Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. All members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
