ATLANTA - FGCU and North Alabama combined to earn superlative recognitions and highlight the 2024 Atlantic Sun Conference Beach Volleyball postseason honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.

The FGCU duo of Shelby Beisner and Trinity Rosales earned the program's second Pair of the Year accolade after recording a 19-13 overall record. The tandem has competed mainly at the No. 1 slot for the Eagles and delivered upset victories against opponents from several ranked foes including No. 8 LSU, No. 11 Arizona State and No. 14 Washington. Emma Soncrant tallied a 17-16 mark competing as a part of FGCU's No. 2 pair and earned the Freshman of the Year accolade. The Anthem, Ariz., native defeated pairs from No. 15 FAU twice and helped the Eagles defeat No. 15 Georgia State for the first time in program history. After leading North Alabama to a 20-11 record in his second season at the helm, Kaleb VanDePerre was named the 2024 ASUN Coach of the Year. He led the Lions to their second- consecutive 20-win season, and their first victory against a ranked opponent by defeating No. 20 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on April 6.
