ATLANTA - North Florida's Jonas Hartenstein was tabbed the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, announced Thursday by the league office. Hartenstein was joined by six other Men's Tennis student-athletes on the 2024 Academic All-ASUN Team.
Hartenstein, who earned his third Academic All-ASUN selection, holds a 3.92 GPA while majoring in Communications. He is the third Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year from North Florida and the first to earn the recognition since Lasse Muscheites in 2018. The Berlin, Germany, native earned a 13-6 overall record in Singles play this season with all 13 coming at the No. 1 position for UNF. He marched through conference play with an unblemished 6-0 Singles record and helped the Osprey go undefeated in ASUN action and capture the 2024 Regular Season Championship.
The Academic All-ASUN Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom and exemplify the ASUN's mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
