Jacksonville Duo, EKU's Walker Secure Weekly Awards

ATLANTA
- The Jacksonville duo of Edyn Battle (Newcomer) and Saniyah Craig (Freshman) were joined by EKU's Antwainette Walker (Player) in earning this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Basketball weekly honors, announced Monday by the league office. 


Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Antwainette Walker, EKU
Graduate | Guard | Lisle, Ill.
- Third Career ASUN Player of the Week award; fourth all-time honor for the Colonels
- Helped EKU remain unbeaten in Baptist Health Arena with a 21-point, nine-rebound and six-assist performance against Miami (Ohio)
- Scored 24 while snagging five rebounds and three steals on the road against the Tennessee Lady Vols
- Averaged 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game in a 2-1 week for EKU
- Eclipsed 1,000 career tallies in the 30-point triumph over the Red Hawks; has 36 consecutive games scoring double figures

Women's Basketball Newcomer of the Week
Edyn Battle, Jacksonville

- First Career ASUN Newcomer of the Week award; 31st nod for the Dolphins in program history
- Averaged 27.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, one assist and a steal per game while shooting 53% from the field in a 1-1 week
- Opened with 28 points (three rebounds) while shooting 55% from the field and 43% from distance over Edward Waters
- Dropped 26 and shot 50% from the floor at No. 20 FSU while adding two rebounds, an assist and one steal
- Has scored 21 points or more in the last four games for Jacksonville

Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week
Saniyah Craig, Jacksonville
Freshman | Foward | Phoenix, Ariz. 
- Second Career ASUN Freshman of the Week award; seventh all-time honor for Jacksonville 
- Averaged 15.0 points while shooting 60% from the field and 67% from long range
- Bounced back after an injury to drop 15 against the 20th-ranked Florida State Seminoles 
- Shot 2-of-3 from beyond the arc and was 6-of-10 from the field in the contest
- Finished behind teammate Edyn Battle as the second leading scorer against FSU
