ATLANTA – SMU earned both the Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards, which were announced Tuesday by the league office.
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Jack Hoagland, SMU
Graduate | Albuquerque, N.M.
- First Career ASUN Men's Swimmer of the Week nod; initial honor in Mustang program history
- Helped his team accumulate a score of 227 in the SMU Classic last weekend
- Set a top-five program record and B-Cut qualifying time in the 500-Yard Freestyle with a 4:19.60
- Added another time inside the program's top five following a 1:47.40 in the 200-Yard Individual Medley
- Competed against a stacked field of Auburn, Louisville, Missouri, USC and Texas

Men's Diver of the Week
John Dymond, SMU
Sophomore | Simpsonville, S.C.
- First Career ASUN Men's Diver of the Week award; first selection in Mustang program history
- Aided his club in the SMU Classic last weekend to a cumulative total of 227 points
- Put up the best 1-Meter Dive mark in the league last week with 288.85
- Followed up with another ASUN-best point total of 279.85 in the 3-Meter Dive
- Hits the pool again on Oct. 14 in a one-day tri-meet against UIW and OCU
