ATLANTA – The Florida Atlantic duo of Peyton Ming (Swimmer) and Brandon Shepherd (Diver) claimed this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Swimming and Diving honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Men's Swimmer of the Week
Peyton Ming, Florida Atlantic
Junior | Lake Placid, N.Y.
- First Career ASUN Men's Swimmer of the Week; 25th award in Owl program history
- Opened the season with a trio of wins for FAU against Indian River State
- Recorded a first-place finish in the 100-Yard Backstroke (50.14) and 100-Yard Butterfly (49.62)
- Was also a part of the first-place 200-Yard Medley Relay team (1:30.43)
- Will hit the road pool on Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., at Nova Southeastern

Men's Diver of the Week
Brandon Shepherd, Florida Atlantic
Junior | Fort Myers, Fla.
- First Career ASUN Men's Diver of the Week; 32nd nod in program history for the Owls
- Took home a pair of season-opening triumphs for FAU against Indian River State
- Won the 1-Meter Dive before followed up with a victory in the 3-Meter Dive
- Posted scores of 284.78 and 288.38 in the respective events to win
- Hopes to keep the momentum against Nova Southeastern and Florida this Friday
