Men's Soccer Preview - Sept. 15

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., - The Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) highlights the Men’s Soccer upcoming competition for the week of September 15. 


Bellarmine remains the only undefeated ASUN Men’s Soccer team this season as they sit at 5-0-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Knights look to continue its undefeated streak this week in a match against Hanover College on Tuesday and conference opponent Central Arkansas on Saturday. 

Central Arkansas UCA’s Merrick Cook earned the Goalkeeper of the Week honor, announced earlier this week after recording a shutout victory against Lipscomb. The Bears have their sights set on UAB and Bellarmine this week with hopes of ending the Knights undefeated streak this season. 

The FGCU Eagles will compete in a pair of matches this week against Houston Christian on Wednesday followed by Incarnate Word on Friday. The Eagles enter the week 2-4 as they look to earn a pair of victories on the road. 

Jacksonville hosts conference opponent Lipscomb on Saturday as the Dolphins look to earn its first conference win of the 2026 season. Led by Ali Simmons, Jacksonville sits at 3-2-1 with a .583 winning percentage, the third best among the league this season. 

The Bisons travel to the Sunshine State to face Jacksonville after coming off a loss to Central Arkansas last week. Lipscomb is looking for its second conference win this season after defeating Queens in the conference season opener. 

North Florida starts the week off with a road match against No. 17 Clemson before hosting conference opponent West Florida on Saturday. Mark Romano and Rafa Rios look to post another impressive week for the Ospreys coming off Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week accolades respectively, as announced Monday. UNF holds the top spot in ASUN play with a 2-0 record. 

The Queens Royals head to Durham, N.C. where they will face Duke in an instate matchup on Tuesday after coming off a week that saw them notch a 10-2 victory against William Peace. The Royals will then travel to DeLand, FL where they look to earn the first conference win of the season against the Stetson Hatters. 

Stetson gave the West Florida Argonauts its first loss of the conference schedule last weekend as they defeated UWF 2-0 to improve to an even 1-1 on the season. Stetson looks ahead to a Tuesday night matchup against Presbyterian at home before hosting the Royals on Saturday.

West Florida will take on the undefeated North Florida Ospreys in its lone match of the week. The Argos look to give UNF its first loss of the conference season after falling short to Stetson last week.
