Men's Soccer Preview - Oct. 6

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., - The Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) highlights the Men’s Soccer upcoming competition for the week of October 6. 


After drawing with FGCU last week, the Bellarmine Knights will host the North Florida Ospreys on Saturday night. The Knights look to give North Florida its first conference play loss this season and improve on their 1-2-1 record. 

Central Arkansas fell to then-ranked No. 7 Missouri State and North Florida last week. The Bears will travel to Pensacola, FL for their lone match this week on Sunday. UCA is currently third in the ASUN Men's Soccer standings with a 2-1-1 conference record. 

FGCU recorded a draw against Bellarmine last weekend. This week, the Eagles will host a pair of matches including a Tuesday night matchup against FAU. On Saturday, FGCU will host Lipscomb and will look to earn its first conference victory this season. 

Jacksonville will travel to Atlanta, GA to take on Georgia State on Tuesday. The Dolphins will then head to DeLand, FL to face the Stetson Hatters. Ali Simmons' team is on the hunt for their first conference play win this season after goalkeeper, Simen Havig was awarded Goalkeeper of the Week. 

Lipscomb will compete in two road matches this week, with the first being in Memphis, TN where the Bisons will take on Memphis. The Bisons will then travel to Fort Myers, FL for a conference match against FGCU. Lipscomb currently sits at 2-2 in conference play after dropping last week's match to Stetson. 

North Florida defeated Central Arkansas last weekend, 2-1 to improve to 5-0 in conference play and secure a spot in the postseason. The Ospreys will travel to Miami, FL for a Tuesday night match against FIU before hitting the road to Louisville to take on Bellarmine in a rematch of the 2025 ASUN Men's Soccer Championship final. 

Queens will travel to Charlottesville, VA to compete against power four opponent, Virginia, on Tuesday night for its lone match this week. The Royals currently sit in second in the standings with a .600 winning percentage and a 2-1-2 conference record. 

Stetson will play a Tuesday night match against South Florida on the road before hosting Jacksonville on Saturday. The Hatters are 2-3 in conference play this season with wins against West Florida and Lipscomb. 

West Florida will host Central Arkansas on Sunday in its lone match this week. The Argonauts are 2-3 this season in ASUN play and are currently sixth in the standings.
