JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida and Austin Peay earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Baseball honors, announced Monday by the league office.
North Florida's Matthew Farner led the Ospreys to a 3-1 record this week against Presbyterian and No. 21 Florida State. He recorded eight RBI, eight runs, two homeruns - one of which came against the Seminoles, and was walked six times. He notched a 1.574 OPS, .983 slugging percentae and an even .500 batting average. Govs pitcher, Kaleb Appelbey earned the Pitcher of the Week distinction. He earned his first win of the season agaisnt the Big 12's Cincinnati. He threw seven innings and struck out six batters without allwoing a run or walking a batter.
