JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - FGCU earned Friday night win to advance to Saturday morning's semifinal matchup. Lipscomb defeated North Alabama to secure a spot in the championship final. 

Game 7: #3 FGCU 4, #6 Central Arkansas 3 
FGCU kept its postseason run alive Friday with a victory over top-seeded North Florida, knocking off the Ospreys to advance to Saturday’s ASUN Baseball Championship Semifinal at Melching Field. The Eagles used timely power hitting and a strong effort on the mound to eliminate the tournament’s top seed and continue their push toward an ASUN title. FGCU pitching combined to limit North Florida’s offense throughout the afternoon, while the Eagles capitalized on key scoring opportunities to take control. Wilfred Gonzalez provided the biggest offensive spark for FGCU with a home run off North Florida’s John Costa, delivering a RBI in a tight matchup. Ryan Rushing earned the win in relief for the Eagles, while Hyatt Richardson closed the door to secure the save and send FGCU into the semifinal round. North Florida threatened late, but FGCU’s bullpen held firm to preserve the win. The Eagles now advance to Saturday’s semifinal matchup as they continue their run through the ASUN Championship bracket.

Game 8: #2 Lipscomb 4, #4 North Alabama 3  The Bisons survived one of the longest games of the tournament, using a resilient pitching effort and timely late-game execution to secure their spot in Saturday’s championship final, after a 14-inning game against North Alabama. Lipscomb’s bullpen combined to keep the Lions off the board deep into extra innings before the Bisons finally broke through in the 14th to walk off the victory. Lipscomb used five pitchers in the win, with Mack Mabrey earning the decision after shutting the door in the late innings. The Bisons’ staff continually worked out of pressure situations throughout the night, while the defense turned key double plays to help preserve the tie game. North Alabama matched Lipscomb inning-for-inning behind a gritty pitching performance of its own. The Lions forced extra innings and repeatedly stranded the potential winning run, but Lipscomb eventually capitalized in the 14th to end the elimination game when thirdbaseman, Cam Pruitt singled to right center for the walkoff winner as Hutson Miles crossed home plate. With the win, Lipscomb advances to the ASUN Baseball Championship Final to face FGCU or North Alabama.
