2025 Men's Golf Postseason Honors Announced

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Austin Peay and FGCU earned individual superlatives to highlight the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Men's Golf postseason honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.

Austin Peay's Patton Samuels is the Golfer of the Year after recording top-five finishes in eight out of 10 tournaments for the Governors during the regular season. He also boasts a perfect 4-0 record in match play, while playing as the Governors' No. 1 in all four matches. The junior, who earned ASUN Golfer of the Week honors three times this season, qualified for the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf Championship as an individual and is representing the Governors in the Urbana Regional.

FGCU's Nolan Harper captured the Freshman of the Year distinction after finishing tied for sixth at last month's ASUN Championship at six under par. During the spring, the freshman won the Old Corkscrew Intercollegiate and finished in the top-10 at both The Johnnie-O at Sea Island and the Seminole Intercollegiate.

Andrew Danna was voted the Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf Championship as a 10-seed in the Amherst Regional. Under his leadership, four FGCU golfers earned All-ASUN recognition, including Brett Moore and Nolan Harper who also earned spots on the All-Freshman Team.
