JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida's Laurie Barendse earned this week's Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Tennis honor, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Barendse earned a comeback victory against North Alabama's Stanislava Bobrovnikova (3-6, 6-1, 7-5) in a three-set thriller. She earned the deciding point to help secure the No. 2 seed in the 2025 ASUN Women's Tennis Championship. In Doubles, she partnered with Anslee Long to win a doubles point, 6-3, to help the Ospreys defeat the Lions 4-3.
