JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The second day of the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) Women's Basketball Championship saw Lipscomb, FGCU, Central Arkansas and EKU advance into the semifinal round.
#3 Lipscomb 73, #6 North Alabama 64
The Lipscomb Bisons improved to 8-15 all-time in ASUN Championship contests after defeating North Alabama on Saturday. Lipscomb was paced by Claira McGowan in the win as the Second Team All-ASUN selection scored 25 points while going 5-of-8 from long range. Bella Vinson, a member of the All-ASUN First Team, scored 20 to go along with six rebounds. Charity Gallegos notched 19 points for the Lions. The Bisons reached the semifinals for the second time in three seasons.
#10 Austin Peay 48, #1 FGCU 82
The FGCU Eagles earned their 23rd win in a row after defeating Austin Peay on Saturday in Alico Arena. The Eagles were led by Emani Jefferson who posted 18 points, shooting 7-of-9 from the field. ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year Dolly Cairns added 15 points and three rebounds. Karina Gordon was also a key contributor for FGCU as she added 9 points, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. This win marks the Eagles' 13th consecutive appearance in the semifinal round.
#8 Bellarmine 57, #2 Central Arkansas 77
The Central Arkansas Sugar Bears return to the semifinal round for the second consecutive year after defeating Bellarmine inside the Farris Center on Saturday. Bree Stephens and Kinley Fisher led UCA with 18 points apiece, both perfect from three. First Team All-ASUN selection Jade Upshaw added 11 points and six rebounds to help secure a 20-point win for Central Arkansas.
#4 EKU 77, #5 Stetson 60
The EKU Colonels defeated the Stetson Hatters on Saturday to advance to the semifinal round for the second consecutive year. Alice Recanati led the Colonels with 20 points, shooting 4-of-5 from the line and adding three rebounds. Raphaela Toussaint added 17 points while going 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. Althea Kara Angeles and Jasmine McGinnis-Taylor each notched 11 points.
The 2025 ASUN Championship continues on Tuesday with semifinal matchups. At 6:30 PM ET, #1 FGCU faces off against #4 EKU inside Alico Arena in Fort Myers. At 6:30 PM CT, #2 Central Arkansas hosts #3 Lipscomb. All of the tournament matchups are streamed live on ESPN+.
